Terms of service
These terms govern your use of tovifinance.com and the Tovi application, operated by GenesisX Group LLC, a Delaware limited liability company with registered address at 10001 Lewes Road, Wilmington, DE 19709, United States.
1. What Tovi does
You connect a bank account. Tovi reads up to 24 months of transaction history, identifies payments that recur — rent, utilities, insurance, phone, internet, childcare and similar — and shows you what it found, along with a Tovi Reliability score summarising how consistently you meet those obligations. Where a category is eligible and you have approved that specific obligation, Tovi may furnish the positive payment history for it to a consumer reporting agency.
As of the date above, no furnishing arrangement is live. Nothing has been sent to any consumer reporting agency, and nothing will be until one exists and you have approved it.
2. What Tovi is not
- Not a bank, and not a money transmitter. Tovi cannot move money.
- Not a consumer reporting agency.
- Not a credit-repair organisation. Tovi does not offer to remove accurate information from anyone's credit report, and would not be able to.
- Not a lender, and nothing on this site is an offer of credit.
- Tovi Reliability is not a FICO score or a consumer credit score, is not sold, and is not used by any lender to decide anything about you.
3. No promise about your credit score
Whether reported history changes a score depends on your existing credit file, what is eligible for reporting, which bureau receives it, and which scoring model a lender uses. Some people will see an increase; some will see no change. Tovi does not promise a particular outcome, and anyone who does should be treated with suspicion.
4. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and resident in the United States. You must own the account you connect and have the right to authorise access to it. One person, one profile.
5. Your account, and what it is not
Tovi has no password. Connecting an account creates a session that lives in the browser on the device you used, and that session is what identifies you when you come back. Keep the device to yourself; use “sign out on this device” if you lend it to someone.
There is no account recovery, because there is no credential for us to reset. If you lose the device or clear its storage you connect again, which rebuilds the same history from the same bank.
6. What Tovi may and may not report
Detection is not reporting. Tovi may furnish information about an obligation only where all of the following are true: Tovi has marked it verified, its category is one the receiving agency accepts, and you have specifically approved it. Approvals start off, are made one obligation at a time, and can be withdrawn at any time from the history screen, taking effect immediately.
Information already furnished before you withdrew approval cannot be unsent; we will notify the receiving agency of the withdrawal. Tovi furnishes positive payment history and does not report missed payments, defaults or other derogatory information.
Knowingly approving information you know to be inaccurate is a breach of these terms.
7. Accuracy, and your part in it
Tovi derives obligations from bank data, which is imperfect: the name of a payee is not proof of what an obligation was, and Tovi says so rather than pretending otherwise. Review what Tovi found before approving anything, and tell us at max@genesisglobal.group if something is wrong. We will correct it, and where information has been furnished we will investigate and correct it downstream.
8. What Tovi costs
Discovery is free. Connecting an account, having Tovi read your transaction history, and seeing every recurring obligation it found costs nothing, and does not require a card.
Activating costs $9.99 per month, plus a one-time $29.99 activation fee charged with your first payment and never again. Activating is what pays for verifying what your payments actually were and for reporting the ones that qualify.
- The subscription renews monthly on the date you activated, until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from the You screen, which opens our payment processor's billing portal. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for; you keep access until then and are not charged again.
- Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Tovi never sees or stores your card details.
- The activation fee is not refundable once verification has begun, except where the law requires otherwise or where we have failed to provide the service.
- If we change the price, we will tell you before it applies to you, and you can cancel first.
Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that applies where you live.
9. Acceptable use
Do not connect an account you do not own, submit information you know to be false, attempt to access another person's data, interfere with the service or its providers, or use Tovi to do anything unlawful.
10. Ending it
You can disconnect your bank at any time in the app, and ask us to delete your profile at any time by email. We may suspend or end access where we reasonably believe the service is being used fraudulently or unlawfully, and will say why where we are permitted to.
11. Third-party services
Bank connectivity is provided by Plaid Inc. under its own terms and privacy policy, presented to you during the connection. Tovi is not responsible for the acts or omissions of your financial institution.
12. Disclaimers and liability
Tovi is provided as it is. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, that every recurring payment will be found, or that any particular obligation will be verified or accepted for reporting — and section 3 says plainly that we do not promise any effect on your credit score.
Bank data comes from your financial institution through Plaid. Where that data is incomplete or wrong, what Tovi shows you will be too. Tell us and we will correct it.
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither Tovi nor GenesisX Group LLC is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, arising out of your use of the service. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid Tovi in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) $100.
Nothing in these terms limits anything that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for fraud, for fraudulent misrepresentation, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived. Some states do not allow the exclusion of certain damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Disputes and governing law
Talk to us first. Most problems are a mistake in the data or a misunderstanding about what Tovi does, and both are quicker to fix by email than by anything else. Write to max@genesisglobal.group with what happened and we will respond within 30 days.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, except that nothing here deprives you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the state where you live.
Any dispute that is not resolved by the step above may be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, or in the courts of the state where you live. You may also bring an individual claim in small claims court where you are eligible to do so.
Tovi does not require you to arbitrate, and does not ask you to waive a jury trial or your right to participate in a class action.
14. Changes
If these terms change materially we will tell you before the change applies to you, and update the version number above.
